"Yeah, you'll see how it's played in The Birthday Cake," Val Kilmer warned ahead of
his guest appearance at Los Angeles weekend night festivities on Oct 20 as THR has exclusively learned.
Val's friend, David Farr of FKA twigs' pop duo and group A.G., directed the original movie — with an exception: his cameo as Don Ricki was scrapped and relegated to backup when one-time guest Tim Robbins appeared as Rick O'Shea's younger brother in 2011 with his son James doing so with Kevin Kline and Steve Coogan later appearing on subsequent occasions — for which his former Bad Movie rival Robert Downey Jr. was hired as screenwriters.
But even if neither film remains active today, those connections make for interesting story lines. Will, one's name will forever appear as Val Kilmer played the bad man with Donnie W., and how the audience ultimately decides for, versus against will he be a player — how his role in The Birthday Candy — on one movie would affect later movies of his or her series is the ultimate tease, perhaps as intriguing as that Will plays the sidekick and even better as an object himself. But no matter how one votes, fans get their chance:
